ODM: their design, your brand

The factory already has a product; you customise logo, colour, and packaging and sell it as yours. Choose ODM to launch fast with low MOQs. The trade-off: competitors can buy a similar base product.

How to decide

• Tight speed and budget? Start ODM, differentiate on branding.
• Real innovation or strict spec? Go OEM and protect it in contracts.
• Scaling a brand? Begin ODM to validate, move to OEM once volume justifies tooling.
